ISR
Rooted in Safety. Inspired by ISR.
Mama Malama’s was founded by Allison, a certified Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) instructor who has spent years teaching children the lifesaving skills of self-rescue in the water. Through her experience working with hundreds of families, Allison saw firsthand that traditional swim diapers weren’t designed to support the unique needs of ISR students—or the parents dedicated to their safety.
That’s why she created Mama Malama’s, a brand built around thoughtful, practical tools that make the ISR journey easier, cleaner, and more confident for everyone involved. Every product is developed with the same care and intention that guides ISR lessons—focused on safety, comfort, and empowerment in and around the water.
What Is ISR?
Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) is the nation’s leading self-rescue swim program, designed to teach infants and young children how to survive if they were to fall into water unexpectedly. Beginning as early as six months, children learn to roll onto their backs, float, and breathe until help arrives—while older toddlers and kids practice
the swim-float-swim technique to reach safety.
